CreatiPhage contributes to the 2022 Bacteriophage Summit and will co-organize the 2023 International Bacteriophage Symposium.

On November 12th, the 2022 Bacteriophage Summit officially commenced online. During the opening ceremony, Academician Fan Jia, the president of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, expressed high expectations for the clinical application of bacteriophages. Academician Fan mentioned that Zhongshan Hospital places great emphasis on supporting innovative therapy research and translation, being one of the first two centers in China to conduct clinical trials of bacteriophage therapy, and the development of bacteriophage therapy is also one of the key projects in the construction of the National Medical Center at Zhongshan Hospital. We should seize the favorable policy opportunities, increase investment in the field of bacteriophages, and promote the breadth and depth of their clinical applications.
At this conference, the long-planned China Bacteriophage Research Alliance was officially announced and established. The Alliance is committed to building a multi-win model for the clinical application of bacteriophages, formulating and promoting industry practice guidelines and standards for bacteriophage clinical research and application, creating and optimizing the clinical research environment for innovative bacteriophage drugs and technologies, uniting industry forces for complementary advantages, cultivating industry talent, and establishing a demonstration network for the clinical application of bacteriophage therapy. It aims to advance the pharmaceutical industry, improve the survival rates and quality of life for patients with antimicrobial-resistant infections, and curb the spread and transmission of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria.
CreatiPhage, as one of the founding units of the Alliance, proudly serves as the vice-chairman unit, with the first secretariat of the Alliance also being based at CreatiPhage. CreatiPhage will co-organize the 2023 International Bacteriophage Symposium.
